MISSION
Our mission is: to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ by: providing a climate for worship, praise, prayer, and service; proclaiming the Gospel of salvation in Christ through evangelism and worldwide missions; practicing the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper; encouraging Christian unity through love and fellowship; contending for the faith once for all entrusted to the saints.

MESSAGE
The Christian message has always been one of good news and great promise to all people.

It says God created us for His glory, but man fell into sin and spiritual death.  God provided forgiveness and the only way back to eternal life, righteousness and fellowship with Him is through the Cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Those who reject this way suffer eternal death and those who receive Him are eternal citizens of His eternal Kingdom.

Central Bible Church joyfully and conscientiously proclaims these and other great, historic Christian truths to our generation.  We have total confidence in the inerrant Word of God and we teach its fundamental as well as its deeper doctrines in love.  We strive to develop individuals and families into mature followers of Jesus Christ.  We stand behind Christian mission agencies and Christian schools dedicated to the same purposes.

We can help you if you are looking for spiritual direction and true Christian fellowship.  You are warmly invited to be with us in our services.  Please don't hesitate to call the pastor at the church office if you have any questions.

"For God so loved the world that He gave
His only begotten Son, that whosoever
believes in Him should not perish, but have
everlasting life."
John 3:16

FELLOWSHIP
Central Bible Church seeks to meet the needs of the whole person through a well-rounded, Bible-centered program of worship, instruction and fellowship for the entire family.  Other opportunities for fellowship, in addition to the regularly scheduled meetings shown at the right, include men's and women's Bible study groups, discipleship groups, choir, orchestra, singles, ladies' missionary circles, and several seasonal activities.

Central Bible Church has no membership list, but consists of all persons choosing to fellowship and work together for the spreading of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.  The governing body of Central Bible Church consists of a Council of Elders.

Central Bible Church believes all Christians are gifted by the Holy Spirit to share in various ways in serving the Body of Christ, the Church.  Each member, therefore, is encouraged to participate in Christian service on a regular basis.  The primary task of the pastor/teacher is to equip believers for that service.

LOCATION
Central Bible Church is located in Kalispell, Montana at 902 First Avenue East just southeast of the old Flathead County courthouse.  Phone (406) 755-5238

HERITAGE
The dark days of mid-World War II were also spiritually dark days in the Flathead Valley, with few places where true Christian fellowship could be found.  Churches were drifting into modernistic liberalism.  Christians were hungering for the truths of God's Word.  Many families were meeting in their homes to study the Bible and spend time in prayer.

In the fall of 1942, several believers started a Sunday School at the Gideon Oursland home in Somers.  In 1943, the group organized as "Grace Bible Church" and rented a building on Second Street West in Kalispell for its meeting place.  Rev. L.W.Zeltner preached at that time.  The church later moved to the Odd-Fellows Hall.

Grace Bible Church disbanded in a few years, but the ministry was continued and the church incorporated as "Central Bible Church" on September 27, 1948.  A major jump in growth came in February 1953, when the congregation of the West Side Methodist Church, an evangelical group, merged with Central Bible.

The cornerstone for the present building was laid on October 11, 1953, and the first services were conducted on December 20th of that year.  An educational wing, offices and all-purpose gymnasium have been added to the original building.
